Duties of the Advisory Committee

The Advisory Committee (AC) shall:

  1. Be chaired by a member of the Advisory Committee selected at the first meeting of the AC.
  2. Meet twice each year via Zoom to review the scope and activities of the MRA program.
  3. Review and comment on materials related to structure and content of the MRA program as occasionally provided by the administrative representatives.
  4. Make recommendations to the MRA leadership team on matters relating to the content and delivery of the MRA program, and whether the program meets market needs.
  5. Provide advice on marketing and promotion of the MRA program, and on recruitment of learners.
  6. Provide suggestions for future AC membership.

Serve for one 3-year term, renewable once. 

Advisory Committee Members

The Advisory Committee will consist of 13 people (9 external and 4 internal members)

External advisors (9 subject matter experts):

Three members each from (appointed by the ED of SENS):

  • Consulting sector (environmental, human health)
  • Industry and Associations sector (chemical, resources)
  • Government sector (federal, provincial)

It is the intent that there will be appropriately equal representation from North America and Europe.

Ex officio (program management, 4 leaders):

Administrative representatives from USask:

  • Executive Director of the School of Environment and Sustainability (or designate)
  • Director, Toxicology Centre

Administrative representatives from AU:

  • Head, Department of Environmental Sciences (or designate)
  • AU MRA program lead
