Opportunities

The Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Toxicology at the University of Saskatchewan (USask) offers Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees with specialization across a wide range of toxicological expertise.

The interdisciplinary nature of the USask Toxicology Program, along with the diverse interests of a large number of graduate faculty in the USask Toxicology Group, provides students with a wide array of potential research opportunities.

Applicants to the Toxicology Graduate Program must possess a recognized undergraduate degree in the life or natural sciences. Undergraduate training should include basic courses in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, and statistics. Courses in environmental chemistry, ecology, and pharmacology or toxicology are desirable.

Admissions Eligibility

The CGPS sets the minimum entrance requirements for graduate programs and for English proficiency. Entrance requirements can be found here: https://cgps.usask.ca/policy-and-procedure/Admissions/requirements.php

All prospective master’s level and doctoral level program applicants must complete the online application. Complete and official transcripts (including, where necessary, a certified English translation) of all post-secondary study to date are required prior to registration. Official English proficiency test results are required prior to registration. All transcripts must come directly to the University of Saskatchewan from the issuing institution and be received in sealed envelopes.

Funding

Once accepted by a supervisor for their research program and having met the requirements for admission, all graduate students are guaranteed full funding.

Minimum stipends:

• Ph.D. $24,000
• M.Sc. $21,000
